Description: Z508 is a cast iron welding electrode with a nickel-copper alloy (Monel) core and a graphitized coating. AC and DC dual-purpose, stable arc, easy to operate. Its manufacturability and cutting performance are close to Z308, but due to the large shrinkage of the deposited metal, the crack resistance is poor. The strength of welded joints is low, so it is not suitable for welding of stressed parts.
Application: It is used for welding repair of gray iron castings that do not require high strength.

Notice:
1. The electrode must be baked for 1 hour around 150℃ before welding operation;
2. When welding, it is advisable to use a narrow path, and the length of each weld should not exceed 50mm. Immediately hammer the weld with a small hammer to relieve the stress in the weld repair area and prevent cracks after welding.
