Stainless Steel Welding Electrode
A312
GB/T E309Mo-16
AWS A5.4 E309Mo-16
Description: A312 is a Cr23Ni13Mo2 stainless steel electrode with titanium calcium coating. It can be used for both AC and DC with excellent operating performance. It has better corrosion, crack, and oxidation resistance than A302 because the deposited metal contains molybdenum.
Application: It is used for welding the same type of stainless steel container resistant to corrosion by sulfuric acid medium (ammonia sulfide), and can also be used for welding stainless steel lining, clad steel plate and dissimilar steel.

Notice:
- The electrode must be baked for 1 hour at around 150℃ before welding operation;
- Because the penetration depth is shallow during AC welding, the DC power supply should be used as much as possible to get deeper penetration. and the current should not be too large to avoid redness of the welding rod.
