ECoCr-A (Cobalt 6) Cobalt Hardfacing & Wear-resistant Welding Electrode
Alloy Type: A5.13, SOLID SURFACING Electrodes and Welding Rods, A5.13
ECoCr-A Cobalt Alloy 6 is the most widely used of the wear resistant cobalt based alloys and exhibits good all-round performance. It is regarded as the industry standard for general-purpose wear resistance applications, has excellent resistance to many forms of mechanical and chemical degradation over a wide temperature range, and retains a reasonable level of hardness up to 500⁰C (930⁰F). It also has a good resistance to impact and cavitation erosion. Cobalt Alloy 6 is ideally suited to a variety of hardfacing processes and can be turned with carbide tooling.
Typical Applications: shear blades; fluid flow valves; extrusion screws; roll bushings; high temperature; valve bearing surface
